another middle of the night write...

Poem Artwork

Dark, darker, darkest,
So cold and full of fright is the night,
Though it can be fearful,
I desire it, wait for it to come, then wish it would stay…

I sleep in total darkness, so black I cannot of anything see,
The darkness seems to give me strength,
I love it all the more when sailing on the sea,
I wish to be capable of stretching its length…

Everywhere is darkness,
The dark does bring distress,
The dark does allow me to regress,
Do not fear the dark, fear me,
For I am not man, but monster…………………………………………….

I agree with the Monster part ...
The Dark Knave Knumb Knuts of the Barrens
is really a big slippery slimy Worm ...
Sneakin around searching for a nice Hole
to Slither into!
Then the Wormhole will turn into a
Black Hole ... thus becoming ...
Knave Knumb Knuts of Knothingness!
Forsooth ?

Our darker side is what keeps us balanced ...makes us aware of threat and danger ...and is, most often, where our inner strength can be found.
