Poem Artwork

Does the ocean to me do,
On a dark empty beach,
Never do I say to her adieu,
It pains me to leave her side,
Still her love of me does anywhere reach…

She listens most intently,
To my dreams and my pains,
To my loves & my gains,
She offers little to say,
When advice she does put forth,
She does so most gently…

She is more a mother to me than I ever had,
She does not scold or hit or badly of me treat,
Once in awhile though she may break a wave on my seat,
That being the most punishment she did give me as a young lad…

Like they say, "life's a beach." In your case it's quite literal.

While I find myself enjoying the beach from time to time, I could spend my entire life in the deep woods without ever seeing the beach and still be happy. But I think it's because of your youth that you long for, once again, that feeling that makes you so tuned in to beach living.

Being on the beach,
you're a lucky guy.
Watching the ocean,
never wanting to "wave" goodbye.

An outstanding write Ed
I too miss her while residing up north I visit her every morning
While jogging than while walking when pain and age began
Assuming me.... I now slowly walk the streets, aves of this southern Elysium
Peace be with you.......

Once in awhile though she may break a wave on my seat;
Like every good Mom, she tries to keep your butt clean!

Transcendental Sojourn-Arrival to One Journal by Liz Cosline

Explains the realizations that have given the author the views of living life fully. The life each person dreams about. You must take a look at yourself before dreams can be reached. Deciding what is the core of belief.
