Wine & women I never anymore see...

Poem Artwork

Even I am tired of my whine,
From my recent self-examinations,
So I am here to apologize officially,
But warn you of further self-exams,
As I am not trying to deceive you with any scams…

Truly, I am trying to figure myself out to a degree,
So while reading my self-exams, sit back & have some iced tea,
Take it with a grain of sugar or is it salt, all those are my problems,
My problems coming to the surface & seeing light,
Possibly for the first time in a long time,
What can I do but relate them to you in rhyme…

As for the simian in my title,
It meant nothing other than sounding good for this recital,
So not to worry about it as it was in no way to this write vital,
Thank you for your advises in this my continuing life’s cycle…

Sometimes we all must take a look inward and work on the problem areas.

I went through the same thing Ed, and still do to some extent. It has to do with the passing years. That, and the great beyond. We try to justify how we have lived our lives, and if we are honest we cringe for the most part. I finally put it all together in 2009, and am content for the first time in my life. Oh, I may slip back to my dark confrontations with myself, but they are not nearly as frequent anymore.

Sounds like you have a self-imposed Monkey on Your Back, my friend.
Stop The Whine, and Have some Wine, or at least go out and enjoy the day.

Need more positivity in your life, not whining or wine, or women, just think of the things you can accomplish yet in life, and you do have the ability to live good.

We all need to have a self exam as we all are sinners and must repent to the Lord.
