At least for me...

Poem Artwork

I sit in bed before sleep,
There I read & find it neat,
Novels by Koontz & King,
I buy them quite cheap,
Therein I exist in a different world,
Books are to me my bling…

Reading relaxes me yes,
As well it brings on an uncertain stress,
I find I am absorbed by the book,
It has that effect on me even,
When at it I just look…

I become a player in the story,
I stand behind the characters,
And enjoy their interactions,
No matter how scary or gory,
I am while reading having fun,
Best on day like this one,
When the clouds & rain do hide the sun…

I read Stephen King and also Dean Koontz - they are quite out of the ordinary! I'm usually always into a book when idle and here at home and when away _ i do carry my books along.

When I'm reading anything by Stephen King, I can't put it down. There have been nights I haven't slept because I've had to know what was on the next page.

Love ya!

A good book can do that to you.

You are a well read man. But I think reading a lot of King would lead one to have a rather depraved outlook on life. Perhaps you need to balance it out by reading a little Martin Luther King. ;-)

I read every single day. BooksAreMe . . . Oh, about the sea shell Ed, you don't know the story, but yep, it does too believe in me.
