If our parents were insane,
Does that mean we are the same...?

Poem Artwork

Are we what our parents were,
Or are we what we are, our parents deferred,
Am I asking of the absurd,
Or do I speak of the unforgiven word…?

Do we receive, from our parents, hand me down diseases,
Do we get from them colds, wheezes & allergic sneezes,
Are we prone to attract that which they did contract,
Or do I just herein with this thought overreact…?

Or are we to just die one day of life most terminal,
Being a part & parcel of our own lives, not our parents,
Will any of us die while still being quite virginal,
Will we be stamped to our next lives altogether returnable…?
