I enjoyed the Sunshine Octopus,

Drove down to Delaware to see Rene,
Went to Rehobeth Beach the fast way,
Sunshine Octopus, the hippie shop was cool,
Three tie-dye shirts and a Grateful dead flag,
My old shirts were getting holes & began to sag…
We walked & talked & enjoyed the salt air,
The weather was quite nice, the wind fair,
Big ships we saw heading in for the river Delaware,
The only thing wrong, all that driving a bear…
Getting out certainly seemed to help your insomnia. And you certainly pointed out the problem trying to get to nice venues these days… The long drive (or flight).
Ahhh . . . Your poem brought out the best of your day with Rene. You made it sound so good, wish I'd been along for the ride and that sit down dinner for sure.
