Describing my recent lack of desire to write & comment...

Poem Artwork

I wish my muse would return home,
I wish I could write something humorous,
I wish I could write something philosophical,
I wish I could keep my mind from doing the roam…

Telling, it is, my muse of late disappearing,
My not being able to maintain my own steering,
Nothing seems to keep me much interested,
Though my desire to read more books keeps me quite rested…

So am I losing my abilities to write,
To turn a phrase, to bring internal thoughts to light,
I am apologetic that I do not read nor do I comment,
Guess I just to a small degree am a little envious,
Envious of your ability to use the written word,
To describe to the rest of the world the intricacies of a bird.

Beak, feathers, wings, two reptile's feet for standing and the ability to fly anywhere it wants. There… The intricacies of a bird are easy to describe. Oh yes, guts when opened up and a gizzard, unlike those who stomach this nonsense.

You seem to have gained a great deal these past couple of years. Your complaints are way down and your ability to analyze is way up. No need to apologize. Just relax like you have been and read whatever you want. Your muse will return when you least expect it.

All the comments below justify your writing ability and to suddenly go stale is not new to writers so just relax and talk with your words.

I think you do just fine with your very unique style and perception. Never give up!

Your muse is out collecting images and sounds of the sea.......the beach, the wind............sun.......people's voices....your world!
Give it time to wander in all seasons.

Love ya!

I think that every now and then our muse just needs to recharge.
It'll come back when it's ready.

These things, happen, Ed. The Muse comes and goes. Open your heart, as you did with this poem, the rest will come naturally. Think of it like the phrases of the moon, which doesn't question its ability to shine. John

You haven't lost your abilities to write, you wrote this quite well, indeed.

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.

Explains the realizations that have given the author the views of living life fully. The life each person dreams about. You must take a look at yourself before dreams can be reached. Deciding what is the core of belief.
