My past was not very nice,
So my health issues are making me pay the price,
I pray for a better life or death,
Karma will be payment for my last breath…
Time it takes to discover a better self,
This told to me by reading the books on my shelf,
I have become of late a better person,
Hopefully never again my life does worsen…
I believe in karma with all due strength,
Hard to keep my past though at arm’s length,
But try as I might, my past stays in my past,
Hopefully right up to my breath’s last.
