To my family at the Den,
The End is nigh...

Poem Artwork

 My time with the den,

Will again, in May, end…

I am asking for no help in reapplying,

As my writing of late seems for me, trying…

I find I have very little to write about,

For this last year I have been in a bit of a drought…

So if I should end my den membership,

Know that I shall stay on as a reader,

Because I would miss all those who have stayed,

And all the times that we all have together played.

I will believe it when I see it, or don't see it. Providence can be full of surprises. Who know but that you may be writing another one of this poems next years as well. Keep the faith.

The subtext in this outlines a man reaching out for help. Ed, you've made me laugh since 2005. Thanks. Wishing you all the best. rlc

I can understand if you have to pay, Ed. Every little bit of money counts. I was going to write "every cent counts" but the cent has been extinct in Canada for quite some time now. You could consider the Creative Writers'Spotlight on Facebook which is run by an AuthorsDen member actually. Wishing you well as always,

Regis.
