SELF EXAMINATION 3

Mark the condition well -
              for as duty and judgment.
Draw apart in their spell -
              the less fortunate dwellers.
Fall nigh to the gifts -
              brought by the sellers.
Of misery and grief all torn out -
              from caverns of greed.
Bodies of friends & tryouts borne out -
              Strangled by right & strength of
                                        purpose.
A museum of murals-
              Smothered in ash of rotten 
                                         surface.
Morbid though it sounds -
               like mankind's efforts are
                                          futile.
All men are not out of bounds -
               their efforts toward the 
                                      exalted.
Are not all lost or stifled -
                many thoughts and deeds
                                       vaulted.
