Conversations with My id

I put this under psychology as I think that conversations with oneself might be covered under that category, this will be an ongoing thing or so I think at this time...ed/id

*Conversations With My “ID”*

Am I able to converse with my “id”?

Well, we are about to find out,

As it may bring forth some special

                                    learning,
Both for me & my “id”…

Hey “id”, is that what you want to

                                    be called?

“Do I have another name, as far as

                                    your concerned?”

“I mean, I am your “id””

Okay, I will call you “id” &

                                    you can call me “ed”.

But let us dispense with the quotations,

They make for such a hard write,

And all I want is fun from writing,

                        Not function.

Damn, this could go on for a long time,

                   This speaking to the id,

As the id has all my memories and stuff,

This could be all I ever write about again,

It could drive one to drink,

                           Or over the brink.

So dear reader, expect more, off and on convo’s,

                      With this poets “id”,

For, in the future, there may be many times that

“id” or “ed”, may want to speak,

And from what I know of both,

This series could get rather bleak.

Can one sell his/her “id” for as much as a quid?

If so, this kid wants to be hid!

Hopefully, as time passes, the id will have its say,

As will ed, and it will seem less eternal in the writing of this journal…(journey?)

                                                                                                            (ed/id)
