Sister Lost

All have lost a sister, so dear...

               “SISTER LOST”

Gene lost his sister this week,

             Arlene was her name,

Gene’s love for her he exclaims,

And this I say is true .

           His tears they are a’flowin,

But her memory will, to him,

            Always bring on a grin,

         As they are what’s special,

When he thinks of his sister lost.

She was very special to Gene,

As he was the youngest of thirteen,

All his sisters mean a great deal,

           But for right now, Arlene,

Is the one for which he feels.

As always when we lose loved one,

              Grief is beyond belief,

And this we can all understand,

But Gene and the rest will come through,

                As they always do.

My hope here is a simple one,

         That my friend Gene realizes,

               His friends are many,

And we all grieve with him,

But personally I know just how greatly,

          He misses his sister, Arlene,

                       SO DEAR!
