Whoever hears it…

Some pray to God, some to Christ, some to Allah or the Buddha,

But ya gotta wonder which one is the real Mccoy?

I know, I know those who pray to whomever,

All have faith in whomsoever they pray,

But then again, who do those that worship cows, or horses or phalanxes pray too?

All the above I have no idea about, as my meditations,

The few that be,

Are all focused toward whoever hears it!

God, Allah, Buddha, dog or Mickey Mouse, I don’t care,

As long as I get some kinda answer to that prayer!

Yes, no, maybe, get the hell outta my faith (face?), get better grades,

I don’t much care where the answer originates, as long as I get paid,

So, might do right to remember, that there may be only one,

And if so, he will have himself/herself one hell of a laugh,

When we stand afore him for the last time to confess,

“How things were much better there, than they looked from up here…”

“Oh that’s all right god old buddy, don’t go to the trouble of the film,

oh no, oH NO, OH NO, OH NO NOT THAT NIGHT!!”

Okay, okay, I confess that my life hasn’t been necessarily prudent,

Yes, it has its excesses too, but gee you don’t think, that picky they will be?

Oh thank ALL the gods; it was only this time a dream…
