Self Help Guru’s…

Are they there to help us?

Or to line their pocketbooks,

With the green of sold books.

What can a self help guru do for any?

With writing a book for us to read,

And have you ever noticed there are so many?

So many others giving us advice,

When their own lives are in turmoil,

They can’t help themselves,

So what makes us think they can help us?

Kinda like that of a psychotherapist,

They are great at “supposedly” helping others,

When in reality “WE” help ourselves,

By talking out our problems,

And they get hundreds an hour,

Just to sit and listen,

And go home to their families and laugh,

At the expense of our psyche and pocket books!

So forget spending your hard earned bucks,

On that which will help only after you chuck,

Spend it on something better that might bring you luck,

Maybe a four leaf clover or rabbits foot,

Or something, what do I know, from a duck!
