Strolling the Beach with Rufuz..."

Now I got a case of the guilts...

    “Strolling the Beach with Rufuz”

Rufuz & Ed went strolling the beach,

Just really trying to get far out of reach,

The day, with high temps & sun was a real peach,

I really hate to, here, preach,

But we both feel less intense,

And that comes from us each…

Was a weekend of intense feeling,

I felt as though I was climbing the ceiling,

Just had to get away,

If not, I would have eventually been reeling,

I even got mad at Rufuz for fighting with another dog,

That started the fight, but Rufuz still got smacked,

That in itself never happens to him,

I always said I would never hit him to punish,

So now I am guilty & he seems to not recall,

But the point is it happened,

And I am not happy regards so,

He did not deserve it, even though it was just a tap,

With an empty plastic jug,

He is so forgiving; wish I were as well, for myself.

He chased the seagulls as always,

And played in the ocean, oh so cold, I bet,

I just wish this guilt would, out of my head, get,

He always attracts other folks,

As all they want to do is, it seems, get met,

Rufuz ignores most, saving his sniffer,

For the women amongst them,

Apparently they smell, to Rufuz, like a gem.

Anyway, all guilt aside, Rufuz and Dad,

Had a great walk,

People must think me nuts,

As I seem to do more than walk,

When with Rufuz, to him I talk,

He doesn’t seem to notice,

But is there to listen just the same,

I guess to him my conversation is just so lame.

Sorry about the previous poems,

Regards my horny nature,

And search for sex,

Sometimes I feel the need,

To just express…

Seems the stroll did you some good, eh? Wish I had a beach nearby!

Pets always know what we are saying to them. They're very understanding. We had many German Shepherds in the house when I was a kid. They always let us ride on their backs; but when we fell...OUCH!

Good write indeed! Makes me want to be there at the beach too.
