Daddy Took Me to the Beach Today…

Dad and I hit the beach today,

Wow, it was just so kewl,

Now I know why people, like kids,

Can’t wait to get out of skool,

And go the beach,

It’s so much better than a pool.

We chased the seagulls & I got wet,

Dad said I stunk, but that’s how I always get,

He got mad at me after fighting with another dog,

But he doesn’t realize,

That is the way of the world for us dogs.

He doesn’t need to be guilty,

Cause I know he loves me dearly,

And he was feeling so tense this weekend,

And he only hit me on my rump, once,

I know it will never happen again,

But if it does, I guess I deserve it,

Cause daddy never hurts me,

Even when I bite him or tear his clothes,

I know by that, that he loves me no end.

Anyway, now he can read that I am not upset,

So he can stop being guilty, and just let,

Doggones be doggones & that will be best…

I love you daddy!
