This Family Adopted Me...

This family adopted me, even though I had one of my own, they treated me as one of theirs, and have done so since. This is not the only one but this is an important one for me...

THIS FAMILY ADOPTED ME…

Mr. gone with his god & the angels,

Sitting on a cloud making metal shop toys,

For children in heaven before their time,

A man of strength, wisdom and mirth,

A man I wish I were a son of,

Rather than that of only a good friend,

But a friend is better than nothing,

As I got to know a man who,

Is well beyond that of any worth…

Mrs. still with us,

With a sense of humor & the wisdom,

That her husband possessed as well,

They went through life,

Both teaching those younger souls,

A smile on their face no one could have stole,

I wish I could have met them sooner,

These two “extended parents” I now have…

I also have brothers and a sister,

Mike, Linda & Don,

And one more, but not exact,

We won’t speak of him, unfortunately,

If any of us have any tact,

The others treat me in kind,

They have always done so,

Since the beginning of our time,

I can honestly say,

I love they and their parents,

As I would my own,

If my own were worthy of love,

As this extended family of mine is most surely…

The feeling of adoption through a soul family is one of the greatest feelings there is :-) Thank you for this warm sharing.
