with no tv, no cable, nothing to do beyond that of writing,

oh yes I have the capability of reading too,

but the write is my passion, my life has been changed,

I need you all to know, you have helped me to change,

from a depressed, fat, old, long haired hippy of a guy,

to a happy, fat, old, long haired hippy of a guy,

this you have all done, this you will continue to do,

as long as I have the ability to write, & you the willingness,

to read and to comment as much as do you…

maybe I am prolific, I don’t know as I have dropped a great deal,

of poems and writes to this site since my inception here,

back in june of 2003, and then again, as my Christmas present,

from two friends, both of whom I respect and love greatly,

both gave me the desire to put on to this site, some old stories,

some old ones that I had no idea would be accepted with such glee, as it were…

these older ones, you have long since read and commented upon,

but every now and then, I seem to find someone that reads one,

for the very first time & forwards to me a new and wondrous review,

reminding me that I once did write to express to all of you,

me depression, my lack of love, my loneliness, my strife in life…

now I write with that in mind,

but more so to help others to find,

the humor in the world,

we, old Rufuz and I, find to make others laugh,

we have found our true line,

we must work to keep up our America online,

but that is so we can come onto the Den,

and bring our humor to them, so sublime…

think I have gone overboard in this description of our reasons thus far,

so let me end here,
