Yesterdays Depression, Replaced

Had to write some cleansing poems, herein lies number two...let us hope there is no number three...

Yesterdays depression, replaced…

scary thoughts yesterday brought,

depression does it to me, I never sought,

but it was not all for naught,

makes the next day feel oh so better…

would be hard to live around me I am sure,

Poor Rene if she had to for too long,

She could just as easily catch my depression,

That would not be good, causing regression,

On both our parts, fortunately not recession…

So a better day this is to start,

get out and do something that is a must,

Even if only to start the camper or just,

Wash the jeep, clean the yard, curb my lust…

Slept the day away yesterday,

Another beautiful day wasted,

Better to have made some beef, basted,

Than to have sat here and wrote,

Those boring and sad poems, posted…

A cleansing if not cathartic poem - and far from boring!

I could really identify with this piece.

Your poems are never boring. It is great that you can write about your feelings. It helps as you have seen for yourself. Thanks for the sharing.
