'tis Winter Time

'tis getting on towards winter...
the time of year when it is cool
to be alive and still trucking.
'tis time to get snugly and warm
with the clothes we put on.
'tis time to get out those Long Johns....
the single undergarment
containing shirt and pants
with closely fitted legs
that extend to the wearers ankles.
You may remember them...
they are the ones with flap trap in the back.
They are quite hard to find these days.
They used to appear in the Sears catalog...
just after the cast iron stove section.
I still have one pair.
Look for yours at an antique shoppe near you.
'tis that time.

Ron... back in our day the woman's corset section of the Sears catalog was the precursor of the Victoria's Secret catalog of today.

I came from the enlightened ages, and while it was, as my classmates used to say, "Colder than a witches tit," outside, I never wore long johns or even a hat in below zero weather freezing my neatly combed hair in place without the need for hairspray.

And you can bet while I was in the outdoor crapper, I never looked at the long johns section of the Sears catalog we used for ass wipe, only the women's underwear section.

Heh.Heh Yeah, you're right. I remember those damn things. Never liked them but was made to wear them.

Omega Factor by John Henning

Take some time to walk outside of your own mind and into another, walk slowly and carefully; the mind that you step on might be your own.
