So here I sit
living alone...
in the privacy of my own home...
and having a wonderful time doing so.
However...
it is not always that easy
since there is no one to talk to...
no one to share or even care.
But...
fear not mother...
your son will not despair.
He writes books and poems
that appear on AD as you may be aware.
Although...
for a man who has been around
as many years as I have...
I have learned a few shortcuts
and a few tricks of the trade.
Now...
if I could only remember what I learned...
I would be in pretty good shape.
That's why it's not that easy
living alone...
in the privacy of my own home...
and having a wonderful time doing so..
A great reflection on a life well lived. Living alone certainly has advantages… I did for many years. For one, it teaches self-reliance. For two, it allows ample time for contemplation without all the static of other people's conversation, problems and just plain, distraction.
There's something to be said about being alone without being lonely.
Help someone in need. Join a group of folks that help the homeless or less fortunate. You will soon forget about yourself and focus on helping others. Happiness will come from this for sure. Amen!
