My First Poem

In my first published book "Thoughts While Aging" this is the first offering. I would like to share it with you.

I'm not as young as I once was
but I'm  as young now as I ever will be... 
and still have the rest of my life to live.
Hallelujah!

I may have lost a step in my pace,
may forget a few things and skies may be gray.
But I am so thankful to be alive today.
Hallelujah!

There are things to do, places to go, people to see,
with so many options.
It's a wonderful world.
Hallelujah!

So I try to greet each day with a smile on my face.
Some times it is not too easy.
But Hey... today IS the first day of the rest of my life.
Hallelujah!
