Having travelled far...
having travelled wide...
at last I have arrved on a rising tide
and could not ask for anything more.
I have become a 'wash ashore.'
After living in the south...
after living in the north...
I now reside somewhere central
in what to me is mid-nervana.
I have become a 'wash ashore.'
Since my arrival on a sandy peinsula
jutting into the sea
that gently caresses Cape Cod Bay...
my home is now Vacationland USA.
I have become a 'wash ashore.'
Being neither flotsam nor jetsam,
I am not quite sure which,
I am a newcomer to a coastal community.
So... why travel? I;m here.

I find coastal communities to be the best place to "wash ashore", as they present to me, peace & tranquility & a place to rest my weary inner self...-e-

Interesting that you poem follows Jane's about sand. It's always good to be well-traveled and have lived in different places. It helps one's perspective. You seem to have landed ashore in a very good place indeed. I'm not sure I would like those nor'easters, though.
Alright, some more coastal poets to give me company. I too washed ashore here where I am but hope am not 'washed up' just yet. We just had about 50,000 fans wash ashore here for the famous Hangout Festival for several days at the roads end on the beach in the sand, a huge event. Huge music stage right by the water. Sort of a cleaned up Woodstock!

So many of the areas around Cape Cod are so very quaint and inviting. You have been favored by being a 'wash ashore' anywhere around there! I spent nearly all of my summers around there. I miss it!!
Sounds very good to me, John. I wandered for years, although not in a boat or ship, althouh I worked on some, but I wandered still. I am where I want to be. I am happy. Hope you will be happy also where you have been 'wash ashore.'
