An ode to a man who taught me how to love. For a father who cared for us till the end. He lived on nicely for ninety years.
Who taught us to look inwards and build on our inner strength trusting Jesus will do the rest.I write of him now for I feel we will not get to see so much of selfless love in future generations including mine.

Selfless love can make a life worthy in a million ways

Unconditional love   makes the world a better place to live and be

We are here   for a purpose   and then empty handed   go

He showed us first to be humble and then to love and care.

When you Love make it   appear   like dewdrops pure   are seeping   trees

As do  saplings ,trees and   flowers in  deserts  which  see not the  free fall of rains

To green up tender   leaves and   strengthen  shoots,    and trunk to bear and give

It is   dewdrops, like the nightingale, that   cools the  molten  air and glisten  at night.

In the melting heat,   warm waves simmering, summer winds blowing fire on moonless nights

Clouds of dust traversing in circular motion tires creatures all

The cruel glare of   sun can only scorch   and helplessly linger on

After the Sun has shrieked and   ravaged ,   been  gone for the day once again

Quietly by night she drenches   plants with dark cold wetness all over its veins

Dancing too at   times   brightly in the glory of the   morning   misty shine

When the sun shines brightly to begin its onward journey   for the day again

You aspired to be   like the   dewdrops quietly   doing  and moving on

Praying feverishly   to bless   other   lives , father dear what an angel you be

And  to spread peace and goodwill   the  purpose of a  life you made so divine

Now to shine from up above and lead us by your guiding light

a wonderful tribute to your father and he appeared to have lived quite a rich and full life as well. I am certain the Creator smiles upon you for following the order he set of children heeding the guidance of their parents. Our heavenly father loves order and obeisance is always for our own good.

An Excellent write, I have seen many of the poets compare dew drops as a symbol of grief or delight in sorrows.
A dewdrop is always perishable, like our sorrows and happiness in life In the sweetness of friendship and purity of love, and by sharing the tears of sorrows, or even in the sharing of pleasures, a dew may be a little thing which the heart finds in the dawn and is well refreshed until dust.

Simply beautiful!
A poet has emerged from among us,
and we will all be the better for it.
Thank you, dear lady.

this is a lovely offering
and so true too of selfless love
it is hard to love unconditionally
we all have certain things that our
lifehood has conditioned us with
You my dear are very blessed to have had
such a beautiful teacher in & through your
beloved Father!!

Love & United Blessings

I'm afraid we may not see such devotion to parenting in the furture, but possibly we might. Humanity will not burn nor disappear so easily. Appropriately you infer the fullness of nature upon your father. Parentage is part of the natural world. The quality of humanity that is best may spring partially from the natural world and partly from the will of God. Let's hope the the dark one does not intervene in this process. He may have already. Your poem is filled with wonderful images, especially of the power of dew. And it is a wonderful tribute to your father.
