pain in stillness

Poem Artwork

It's at that point

When your being tickled and maybe a minute into laughing the tickler stops, as your laughing, screaming, please stop.

When however, you are pinned down unable to break free and are being tickled to a point of indescribable pain causing tears and unbearable discomfort, you'll watch the tickler laughing.

Then being stuck in a tickle, never knowing when it will end, panic sets in. That's not a tickle, just plain abuse.

At minimum my metaphor I have used since a child, and have not been stuck in a tickle for 7 safe years.

To a friend in need

This message is for any woman who does not believe they have the right to not be abused. Get out, get safe, and heal.

Stuck in anything will no longer be an option. Come with me, and I will try to explain.

Stuck in a tickle

Perceptions are clear

In my unknown fear

I'm no longer at a laughing state

Your force reveals your hate

Ever notice self help helps just the author

Making my pain no less softer

You have gifted me with fame

My present image of myself is shame

Stuck in a tickle

You were my guardian

A ring leader since then

I need a higher stage

To deal with your rage

Growing stronger

Lasting longer

I needed you to be honest and faithful

Not surprisingly angry and hateful

Where did I lose my perception

Prisoner to your progression

Stuck in a tickle

Each time I am black and blue

You swear your sorry so true

What alters my truth today

A romantic false cliché?

Cause my instincts are are on delay

Whenever I try to leave

You beg me to believe

If I were a boy

I’d never use girls for a toy

Calming threats you love to send

That nothing will happen again

I have nowhere to go

A prisoner of conviction all I know

Is this love despite the blood?

Or is the blood your type of love?

I’m stuck in a tickle

And the stage where it turns

From giggles to pain to burns

Pinned down being laughed and mocked

Can’t take the pain of being stalked

I’d rather you resort to my beatings

Where I submit to your meetings

Because here in my pain

The pain has made me insane

I’m stuck please stop

I have taken what I got

I’m crying as your laughing at what you say

You have control in the length of my day

I was full of hope when we were young

Of what my life will be become

What is my heart worth today

When I am censored what I may say

I remind myself least I am not dead

My survival is really only in my head

Help me with reading your signals

These are painful tingles

I have become catatonic

Living charged and electronic

Behaviors repeated

I am volunteering and defeated

You would be surprised how pain works

Not long before it no longer hurts

But sure could use some grace

Cause I don’t recognize my face

You win

I’m stuck in a tickle

I am afraid to leave what I know

More afraid to be all alone

To stay is to feed my shame

To stay is to keep letting you play your game

Give me just one reason

Something I can believe in

I am such a fool

Trying to be cool

There are actually 2 ways we can play

Let’s finally make rules today

Danger is something in your head

That’s what you have always said

Broken wives are people too

We all know least a few

Probably unselected

Hiding their life as rejected

Yet most of us ride

Survival is dependent on how one hides

Hunted and scouted

This never I have doubted

Can’t take any more blood

Or where as a coward I was good

My ankles behind my ears

Closed eyes distant for years

Look in me, stare

See my hate, it’s only fair

I yell to draw attention

My role lives as your obsession

Need to break fee

Need to save me

I must leave you to be very, very still

I must leave those tickles I had to kill

Must say bye

My tickles have died

Kimberly,
A very emotion provoking write, I am sure it was wrenching to write. I hope it will help some who can use the help.

Not all men are sick f**ks
No woman is a toy
To seek and destroy
One day a man won't be a sick ploy
There is one hero
Who'll adore you forever
Someone for joy with
Someone silly clever
No more alone
No life as a stone
Where all pain will slip away
Where love conquers the unknown
Trust that one love, love
Your happiness's destiny's finally come home
