My first Hi didn't get her attention
But my second did,
She smiled and I knew she was mine.
We walked and talked
Until we reached her home
And she bid me farewell.
As I walked away, I looked back
And saw her wave to me.
That beguiling smile still on her face.
I saw her again days later
And asked her for a date.
Just a little movie, she said yes.
Much happened in the next seven years
Until I came home from war.
Our friendship soon was ignited again.
I asked her to marry me-
She kissed me and said yes.
Three months later we were married.
So much happiness, some ups and downs.
But then the Lord callled her home,
Living now with those beautiful memories.
*George* not everyone has them!
Lady Vivian
that is pretty scary.
You are an inspiration, George Carroll.
Both of you were lucky, it is obvious. And like you say, you have
wonderful memories. So many couples split up these days. Sad that many of their memories will be sad and bitter.
Keep writing!
