Masking the terror of the night
With controlled masculinity.
Never wavering to devilish noises,
That howled through the night.
It was only the wind, I thought,
That caused all the furor.
But when my bedroom window
Blew open, I screamed in fright.
The shadows that moved about,
Were not of this world, I'm sure.
I searched for the light switch,
To dismiss these ghostly gouls.
To my horror, there llying on my bed,
Were bodies, all bloodied and torn.
I could not recognize who they were,
Or how they came to be in this condition.
The police could not ascertain
Who had committed this crime.
Maybe it was the ghosts of the night,
But nobody thought this to be true .
