The air has its stories,

You can hear them in the wind.

They cover the world,

With a message they send.

Earth would be barren,

If it ceased to exist.

Each day we breathe it,

Lets our life persist.

We can curse it or damn it,

When at times it wrecks havoc.

We  can take it for granted,

Or treat it like a maverick.

The air lets our birds fly,

And takes us to foreign lands.

It has its mysteries,

Scientist try to understand.

Yes, we know we have only so much air… So we should never abuse or waste it.

We tend not to think of that thin envelope of atmosphere that envelops our world and protects us from so much. We use it, we breathe it and don't think of it. But if deprived of it we would be gone from the face of the world. It's dangerous actions scare us and its gentleness sometimes lulls us. In some science fiction scenarios it is even taxed. Ask us again some other time and we may not even think of any of this. Bob
