Passing a frog

Sun tanning himself.

Not a care in the world,

In his little pond.

He winks at me

As I pass him by.

A good natured frog

Who loves living life.

I try not to disturb him,

In my clumsy old way.

He is so enchanting,

Wish I could with him stay.

But he has his world

And I have my own.

He's happy in his,

As I am in mine.

So sing your merry song

As I walk along.

It may not be so sweet,

But it does have a beat.
