A wee bit of the green Is exposed today. History recalls St. Patrick's Day. Though he endured The perils of his day. He took the Irish And showed them how to pray. They were a stubborn lot, but lovable, That came to see his way. Now they are stedfast in faith, But just as stubborn, as in his day.

There is truly no one ore stubborn than the Irish. Blue was the original color for the day an not green. Interesting stuff .
