There was a bottom that I hit.

I knew first hand where I was.

Covered only with my thoughts,

That left me to ponder, was it worth it.

Over and over these thoughts

Came to me, of a love I lost.

Never will I be this vulnerable again,

Where my heart was just hanging by a string.

Did anybody give a damn

For the plight I was in?

It seems only suckers

Know the answer.

One thing first: To answer your question whether or not anyone cares I can say that not all who read your poems would have the same life experience as yours, and if they don't care it is only normal because they could have their own problems that they too are worried about or feel sad about. Everyone is living a different life to another. Bit if your poem hits a note in someone's heart because the person may have the same experience similar to yours then they may feel bad and sad too. That is why some audience would prefer to read much happier poems which I'm sure everyone is capable of writing to enlighten others. When I write poetry, I don't just focus on myself all the time. I like to bring the world to my audience so they can feel the world and know what is going on around them. The world is not just about us and our sorrows which in compared to others may seem minimalist of problems. There are much more than ourselves that we need to bring to awareness.

BTW... I do care. So, write on!

Happy New Year to you!!! May you find happiness in the coming year!!!

Sandie
