What is happening to America, regarding abortion,
social security, watching too much TV, not living in
the real world. The American dream is dying.

An American Story

World War II teachers taught children patriotism.
Now America doesn’t instruct them about that “ism.”
Instead, we debate if allegiance to the flag
is a worthwhile custom or merely a drag.
Americans must be politically correct,
but the President determines whom that can benefit.
Bush is baking us a Marie Antoinette cake.
Don’t be surprised about the Revolution that will make.
Is Social Security paying for Bush’s war?
Is Social Security just a plan for the government to take more?
The government’s a clever, cunning songbird,
but when did worldly governments ever keep their word?
I think that we will never see another American democracy.
What we have now is an America that’s free
to watch its fiction on TV.
The American way of easy come, easy go
lulls many to sleep past the late, late show.
Reporters don’t tell the truth anyway
so we turn off the lights and call it a day.
Listen, the American dream is dying.
In the doctor’s back rooms, American infants are crying.
They crush them to pieces like so much dirt.
Alive, not full term. Who cares if
they’re hurt?
Lust is such a twisted trap,
but we don’t want our sons or daughters
to know about that.
Few people teach children about God anyway.
The godless will burn our Bibles, one day.
God’s left America. The facts are out.
We neither obeyed Him
nor realized
what God’s freedom
was all about.
