What is regret?
*Regret* Some say it is the cry in the voice on the day of love or death It is the tragic versus the dream being made or lost the course Trouble last as long it is allowed to exist in the heart or the soul Entity of self running and fighting the nature lost to clouds dancing What is the answer for facing society head on in the calm of the storm Stage set as the day falls in the sorrow of places I write soul almost used up she pulls at me in the way a child stretches new taffy just enough to savor flavor tried and true the words repeat and childish talk of the day turns to love absorbed mind consumes all within the eye and earshot so well that I become the environment flavor of life devours my imagination and her naked soul become more than eye candy Take the marks of existence and stack them neatly in a book dedicated to history linger a while at the entrance to heaven or hell built here in the passage of me to you win or loose the dance was worth all the pain rolled into the cradle and the gravestone eager to please I let the wind of time play whatever tune you seek your past as your smile body to body we move across the stage giving and taking of everything and anything there Regret the voice of today dancing into the mind of yester-year left in hurt and help intended no man feels like another as misery is shared it is shared through a different set of life value lived cry me a river in the outcome of shadows slipped past as real as flavor upon the find uncovered here dark and cold my path left to the cobble stones of minds left too long in one spot of life you are spoiled Anger takes a step off the edge of the world sleeping on a bed of nails all ready for the last box with my name

the second verse just over flowed here
