I wrote this years ago when my children were little. They always brought home strays. They were little souls with big hearts! The only problem was I ALWAYS HAD TO CLEAN UP THE POOP!
Itty Bitty Kitty I found an itty bitty, brown and yellow Persian kitty. She seemed so lost and all alone, so I picked her up and took her home. I didn't want my mom to see, I thought she'd make me set her free. I already have a dog and a cat, an iguana named Jake but I don't know where he's at. A goldfish, a snake, a ferret and a mouse, and mom says there's too many pets in the house. So help me please I must find a way, hide my kitty or make mom let her stay! Sounds like a real menagerie. Some children just have a natural habit of collecting pets. I remember bringing home a rabbit. Sadly I found in the front yard of the family who owned it. How was I to know it wasn't lost?
