Silly Sally Simmons

I wrote this years ago to help children practice the s sound. It's kinda funny too.

 Silly Sally Simmons

 
Silly Sally Simmons lived
on Stratton Lane,
with her mother and her father
and her wacky brother Wayne.
The family was quite looney 
and word spread round the town,
they lived off seaweed sandwiches
and slept hanging upside down.
Everywhere they went kids would
stop and stare,
they thought they might be aliens
cause they all had bright green hair!
Silly Sally Simmons made the
funniest of faces,
distracting all the kids at school
and lots of other places.
She liked to make the children laugh
by wiggling her nose,
flipping back her eye lids
and writing with her toes.
She became quite popular
with all the naughty kids,
spending most of her time in the office 
for the crazy things she did.
Silly Sally Simmons didn't
seem to care,
till she fell and broke her shoulder
while leaning in her chair.
When they rushed her to the hospital
she wasn't laughing then,
it hurt so much she made a vow
to never be silly in school again!

I'm sure that all the kids you read it to giggled and loved it. It also has a moral that children will understand.
