Another poem I wrote for my children when they were growing up. Kinda funny. Some of us have been there a time or two.
Homework Excuses The home room bell's about to ring I need a new excuse, cause my book report and science paper both are overdue. I could say my puppy ate it but I used that one I guess, when I didn't do my math homework and failed my English test. How about a truck came by just barely running me down, knocking my papers from my hands onto the rain soaked ground. I tried to pick them up before they got all wet, I better write this down before I soon forget. Cause in another minute when the bell goes ding a ling, I'll have to memorize my speech and not forget a thing. I often sit and wonder what could be worse than this, one explanation after another about the work I've missed. Maybe I should do my homework it has to take less time, than creating these excuses in my lazy little mind. Written By Kathy J Parenteau Copyright © 2000 All Rights Reserved
