A hummingbird appeared last week in my secret garden. This morning an intruder came and he chased it away. But that intruder was persistent, and as I watched he chased it away every time it appeared, a dozen times or more. There seems to be a lesson here about how we protect our secret places. In this hummingbird's case, it meant war. Still, I would like them to be friends so that I can see two hummingbirds in my secret garden, and not just one.
It's our secret place and no matter which way the wind blows Jerry it takes us away. Your secret place is just as beautiful as mine. No competition when it comes to our dreams.
Hah! I escape to the bank of Bayou Lafourche, about a fifteen minute walk from where I sit. Could drive, but walking is good. I've seen hummingbirds here and there, and an old gator's eyes above the waterline quite often. My place to contemplate isn't as upscale as yours, but then I don't need for it to be.
