It would seem that every time around this year, I feel some kind of way and I end up writing a poem about my mom. Maybe it's my birthday season; maybe it's this time of season, I don't know.....But I'm grateful either way for everyday that God has blessed me to be a mom and to have a family to love and be loved by. God bless you FB, family, friends, enemies and strangers alike.

DEAR MAMA,

I had to take a minute to holla at you,

Wish you were here to say, "Daughter, I'm so proud of you."

"I see ya going; baby, forge, ahead,"

But instead,

You chant me on from heaven, "Like that's my kid,"

At least that's what I hope that you might say,

As I try to picture what you might say,

I love you more than words could say,

Wish I could say that at least once, one day;

One time would be awesome, if only you could hear,

Oh! how much I wish you were here, so near,

We take for granted the people who matter most,

On nonsense, we boast,

Never taking time to truly see,

The people we see aren't guaranteed to be, or see,

Forever with us,

Only in memory,

Until He re-writes History,

Erases all mysteries,

Dear Mama, Oh! How I wish you were here with me,

To tell me, how things would be and could be,

That you're proud of me,

That you see the beauty in the generation to be,

The children I call the future in thee,

If you're looking down, I hope you see,

Just how much you mean to me,

I hope you see I'm striving daily to be,

All that Jesus called in me,

I may not be perfect, all things not straight,

But I'm striving daily for that pearly gate,

Try'na tell the world, that's it's okay,

If everyday, don't always seem so great,

I'm certain that if we strive, we'll see,

All the blessings He has for thee,

I can not change where I have been,

I couldn't change how you died or when,

I can only express my love through the ink in this pen,

And even then,

Word's can't express completely, I can't pretend,

I love you more than the winter's end,

More than the pen to this paper,

Or the writer to the pen,

You are my life's end,

And life anew, as it does begin,

I love you forever more,

There is no end,

Dear Mama,

Missing you much!

God bless everyone and anyone who has lost anyone.  May you find comfort, peace and total release in the Mighty Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!  Be Blessed....

Weekends In New England by Linda Alexander

Love, romance, innocence, intrigue, danger, and lust. Life is complicated, and love even more so. Life, and love, can be hazardous to a lady's health. Especially if she's fallen in love with a married pop star.
