Luscious June

A poem of feelings and hopes.

 

Luscious June

faded slowly away

with its dreams

and its cherished hopes

of mutual delight…

And then July

barged in like

a thunder storm,

in a furious eruption of

a volcano like

of hurt feelings…

Would August

be our salvation?

Let’s hope and prey

it would...

This was written in 2018 and I, unfortunately have forgotten August whether it was salvation or not. However, regardless of which way it turned out I would swoop down on like a raptor seeking prey. But church folks always find things to pray about.
