Somethin' from Nothin' The Great What Was

Probing my own thoughts of the ether and what is nothing

Poem Artwork

Somethin' from Nothin'  The Great What Was

Where do we go then
after the show
to a place perhaps that no one knows
be it here, be it there
in space, in time, somewhere, somehow

some say dust to dust is all
back into The Great What Was
but then upon our final call
would be a waste
if to nothing at all

but what is nothing
what can that be
for if nothing is
then must not it be

and if it be
then so it is
the cradle of reality
just now not seen but in mirror dim
only known beyond this sightly realm

for what we be
is most conceived
by what our eyes can only see
for now we can only touch the crust
until we reach The Great What Was

but if somethin' came from nothin'
and nothing is what was
could nothin' be the somethin'
that was somethin' all along

Why am I thinking that phrase, "Nutin' Honey? ;-)

I do know that we are made up of very small particles that are, at the very core, almost indistinguishable from energy. Therefore, our very being is not solid but rapidly moving and filled with a lot of blank space. So even physical reality is an illusion. However, all of this magic gives us the mysterious energy we call the soul.

Until I or we know a whole lot more about what we are and our place in the universe, it really makes no difference right now. Dust is okay with me because I have no knowledge from before I was about four years old, and for sure have no knowledge of what I'll be except my bodily ingredients after my brain has turned out the lights. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
