My Itchy, Itchy Back , It Needs A Scratchy, Scratch

by Dadfire — Read all 70 poems by Dadfire

For all those times one gets an itchy spot on their back (and no one around to scratch it)

My Itchy, Itchy Back, It Needs A Scratchy, Scratch

My itchy, itchy back,
it needs a scratchy, scratch.
But there's no one around,
to scratch my itchy back.

I gotta find a way,
to scratch my itchy back.
If it keeps on itching,
I'll have a heart attack.

I grabbed my longest fork,
and slid it down my back.
But it won't reach the itch,
that's way down on my back.

I rubbed it on the wall,
my itchy, itchy back.
But a spider crawled on down,
and bit me on the back.

Now I've got this welp,
on my itchy, itchy back.
But at least the spider's dead,
I smushed him with my back.

But the spider still is there,
a lying on my back,
and even though he's dead,
sends shivers up my back.

I got to get him off,
of my itchy, itchy back.
I can feel his hairy legs,
'a hanging on my back.

But then I feel a scratch,
on my itchy, itchy back.
Right on the very spot,
where I need a scratchy, scratch.

Then I take a look,
at my itchy, itchy back.
In the mirror try to see,
why I feel a scratchy, scratch.

And then to my surprise,
on my itchy, itchy back.
The spider's still alive,
and he's scratching on my back.

Now my itchy, itchy back
when it needs a scratchy, scratch
It's got a lucky friend
to scratch that itchy back.

So I've finally got relief
for my itchy, itchy back
I finally found someone
to scratch my itchy back.

Scatch, scratch!

Ron, you're making me want to go get a massage. I have never had one before. Hard to let go of a hundred bucks but hear they are worth it.
Merry Christmas!

Love the twist at the end! You reminded me of the time a wasp stung me on the back of my neck in bed. I yelled, "Beh, a bee!" At the top of my lungs and she sprung to life trying to figure out what was going on. It was at my parents' cottage in a spare room that wasn't used. My father heard the noise and came into the room to see what was going on. The room was full of wasps from a nest attached to the window.

The good news is, I rolled over and killed it with my neck!

You needed one of those Chinese scratchers they always have at fairs and carnivals as cheap prizes. I have itches I can't scratch every day now. But I have a Beh that gets buzzy and makes sure that every one of them is thoroughly scratched, followed by $100 massage. It doesn't get any better than this during the holidays!

Next time this happens, just do what a bear would do and rub that itchy back against a tree, or buy yourself a back scratcher, I hope that spider didn't get sick.

This is what happens when you live alone. There's just no one around to do the back scratching. Enjoyed this one and ya, my guess is we all have those itchy backs.
