Just Let It Go

I don't know, the reason for this feeling in my soul
I don't know , the reason for the cold down in my bones
I don't know, the meaning of emotion that I show
I don't know, how to find my way back into the fold
I don't know, how to ease my way.......(hold out note)
(Music stop and pause)................My way, out of the cold.

Well, I don't want these feelings anymore
Or the burning of the anger that I hold
The kicking and the screaming's, gotta go
And I don't want to wonder anymore.

Now I know, the reason for this feeling in my soul
Now I know, the reason for the cold down in my bones
Now I know, the meaning of emotion that I show
Now I know, how to find my way back into the fold
Now I know, how to ease my way.......(hold out note)
(Music stop and pause).............My way, out of the cold.

Now, I don't have these feelings anymore
Or the burning of the anger I don't hold
The kicking and the screaming had to go
And I don't have to wonder anymore
As the answer was knocking at my door
I just opened the door and let it go
Now I can feel the soothing of my soul

I just opened the door and let it go
I just opened the door and let it go
Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go
That's all you gotta do..........
Just open the door and......... (pause)
And let it go.

I hear these words with imaginary sounds and feel the soul wanting to be free. Opening the door and letting it go is the soul breathing out of the vessel that held it.
Like it, would love to hear you play it to your melody only you know!

Fun writing songs, better hearing them sang by someone that can project their true meaning!

Let it go, let it go, as my granddaughter would sing, the cold doesn't bother her anyway!
(movie "Frozen")

Blessings and love,
Teresa

Great to see your lyrics again. Wow! This one changed your life? As I read I was reminded of the Beatles great song Mother Mary where they saying, "In your hour of darkness, Mother Mary comes to you, seeking words of wisdom, let it go… let it go."
