I have painted many depictions of life in my mind;
Of you, there are endless sketches—some peaked, and vive less
While others flow, as rivers under profuse rainfall
A legion of colors propounded—free floating in abstract—aside,
To be diffused by my imagination, however my senses perceive you
My thoughts, though creative and refer to loving images of you,
Would be complacent if only they could come to reality—
Having you return to me, as the lovely person you used to be—
Youthful adornment would be to view—but you,
There is nothing left of you, besides my knowing
You will no longer cause me pain—you have gone away….
Still, my visions of your images remain … the images—painted
Entrancing of you, yet … in vain—
In vain—in vain—
In vain….
