Today is the first of January The beginning of a new year Time to again make merry Be happy now and not the scary The sky above has started to clear Lift your goblets high filled with sherry A reason to go on , be not wary Hold high your head devoid of fear. The bushes have burst, full of berries. Be happy and glad as a fairy Hold the feeling close and near. Sweeter than a confectionary.
