Just woke up singing this golden oldie this morning!!

SILVER LINING

Heigh Ho!

Tired of being a straight
fastened zip;
A 90's stick insect
scared stiff of my hips!

I'm revisiting Carnaby Street
to catch me some curves;
to absorb colourful energy,
don frills and fresh verve.

A New 60's rainbow
to brighten grey skies -
all Ban-The-Bomb and Woodstock;
Big Hair and great thighs.

Jeff Beck usually sings the Blues -
I do too, come to that...

But I'll leave the long
and winding road
for the bumpy hillside
and the hippy hat!

... Yeah, Baby!!

Yeah, Baby, indeed! But be careful, Kate - I hear Mini Me, Dr. Evil, and even - the nefarious Dr. Never - have been known to traverse Carnaby Street now and then. Wear you hippy hat, but carry a big pointy umbrella, too - just in case you have to smack one of them over the noggin - and have fun, fun, fun!

This is a fun write, Kate. Now that I think about it, I don't think we were as concerned with weight as we are now. I was part hippie, part sorority girl. So needless to say, I was confused.

Right on Sister and I'm hoping you'll post some pictures of you flashing back. Bet you made one great hippie. Nice write and nice way to reawaken old memories, now if I could just get my hair to grow again.

Hugs,

Felix
