Extra-terrestrial visitors and what they may have seen and taken away...
NOTE : Three weeks to a month ago, Israelis filmed the descent of « extra-terrestrial space-ships » over Jerusalem (Bethlehem?). Some later aired doubts over « living organisms » piloting the vessels for the lightning speeds of their displacement would have ripped them apart. What may then the « robots » have espied : that the World (Universe?) was created in seven days, the temptation of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, Noah’s Ark rescuing living creatures from extinction or the creation of ritual worship and the first most efficient secret service in the confessional ?
If the « visitors » had taken the trouble to espy on the Greeks then, they would have learnt of the existence of the finest in human spirit, imagination and endeavour : Zeus and the metaphorical pantheon of gods (Hermes, Hercules, Poseidon, etc.), the height of human refinement in art, ceramics, sculpture, architecture and good-natured competitiveness in sport (the Olympiades), the exquisteness of rational thought in epistemology, aesthetics and democracy (Democritus, Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, etc.), the inventiveness of the tragi-comedian playwrights who may also have engendered psychology and pschoanalysis in Aedipe and Electra complexes (Aeschylus, Euripedes, Aristophanes, etc.), and above all the nuances and flights of imagination of pure poetry in Homer, the beginnings of scientific method in Heraclitus and Thucydides, etc.
Let’s hope they did earlier on for the image of Man in their faraway realms would remain tainted otherwise.

What lies in store must be much worse:
Yet Evil serves
Toddler gods in this Grand Plan make so bold
As to usurp Laws of Universe(s) -
Get what each deserves:
The turntable of three Continents
The "cradled" civilizations
There "end" might come
And so must these Manriquenas' contents
Be the homage of my supplications:

Spaceships are generally found out to be merely natural phenomenon or special-effects that some technologies produce as a byproduct of their activity in the air. And, as far as poetry goes, the Psalms of the Old Testament Jews provide some of the best poetry from ancient times as well.
It certainly does seem that the ancient Greeks showed us the way to deal with evil with philosophy rather than force. Evil will probably always exist, but it is in the management of it properly, rather than following it like a God, that we will survive to greet the sun another day.
BTW. I have always held, that if extraterrestrials are able to traverse the distance between the stars, when they reveal themselves to us, we will think they are God.
