Where do I walk to reach you?
How does one such as I understand?
Here in the dirt in the dark I do wonder
Who will be there for my shaking hands?
Crying unworthy I always do falter
Unsteady footing falls scarily short
I feeling for something in the twilight
To whom will this earthbound being resort?
Life takes its toll on the weary, time adds up
Walking amidst the grave markers I gaze off
Heart aching then worrying at life’s cost
How many now wander frightened and lost?
Scriptures run circles in my minds files
Like a roller coaster my thoughts go up and down
Searching for answers, hope and solutions
I grow weary wanting to save all the lost

The act of saving is often a part of us that recognizes a part within ourselves that needs to be saved. With each save we grow to understand ourselves better and help the other to boot :-)
Teri, You must be psychic, or I am vain, for this poem seems to apply to a recent experience of mine - being told to GET LOST! for no good reason at all, leaving me virtually dead to society. David
