A parody of Cumbersome by Seven Mary Three |
|
This is actually my submission to the Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest, which is free to enter and has a top prize of $2,000!
Verse 1
She calls me a cheater when I wear my sleeping mask
I guess the snores will be coming too fast for her now
She would like to believe her insomnia will pass
All the snores are drivin' her right up the wall
Pre-Chorus 1
I have become slumbersome
To this world
I have become slumbersome
To my girl
Verse 2
I'd like to believe I can get to sleep fast
Reconnect those bridges, make the dreams last
But my snoring face just seems to break her down
She visits the fridges because of all the sound
Pre-Chorus 2
I have become slumbersome
*snore*, *sniff*, *twirl*
I have become slumbersome
She might hurl
Chorus
Too comfy, too tight, too dark or too bright, sleep wrong or sleep right
The day or the night, slumbersome
Bed switch or bed floor, she's getting sleep less and I'm getting much more
No time to waste it's slumbersome
*snore*, zzz, *snore-snore*, *snore*
*snore-snore*, *snore*, zzz
Bridge
There is no balance of me and my girl
I get sleep, she's at a loss
Regardless of imbalance life has become
Slumbersome
Chorus
Too comfy, too tight, too dark or too bright, sleep wrong or sleep right
The day or the night, slumbersome
Bed switch or bed floor, she's getting sleep less and I'm getting much more
No time to waste it's slumbersome
*snore*, zzz, *snore-snore*, *snore*
*snore-snore*, *snore*, zzz
Outro
*snore, zzz, *snore*, *snore*, *snore*
*snore-snore*, *snore*, zzz
*snore-snore*, *snore*, *snore*, zzz
My life has become slumbersome

Living With The Dying
by Jennifer Miller

A touching, loving and spirtual insight of the dying process, filled with peace, smiles and starting on their journey, taking me with them as far as I could go, returning back with something I didn't have before. Will be out early in 2010..on Kindle |

Always when I read lyrics, I wonder what it sounds like. You could add a little video of you singing it with your guitar. It's the performance that makes the song, not necessarily, the lyrics.
Finally, while it may seem humorous, you are describing a serious condition for many relationships. I recall my mother eventually sleeping in separate rooms from my father because of his snoring.
