CHARACTER
The childhood shows the man,
As morning shows the day. Be famous then
By wisdom; as thy empire must extend,
So let extend thy mind o'er all the world.
John Milton (1608–1674)

DECEPTION
Vain wisdom all, and false philosophy.
John Milton (1608–1674)

Happiness
There are two things to aim at in life:
first, to get what you want;
and after that, to enjoy it.
Only the wisest of mankind achieve the second.

Logan Pearsall Smith (1865–1946)

Let Words Not Be Sharp

Let the eyes speak of love
Let tears cleanse the soul
Let there be understanding
Of the future yet to unfold

Let the mind have sagacity
Let the heart learn of joy
Let there be understanding
A life not to destroy

Let words be not sharp
Let love you have, flow
Let there be understanding
When we talk, we grow

Let past mistakes loose
Let the truth find a voice
Let there be understanding
Right the wrongs and rejoice

Let happiness surround you
Let the smiles forever shine
Let there be understanding
In this world and in our time

Let the ghosts of past free
Let your life be fulfilled
Let there be understanding
Together, futures we build

Let me guide you from darkness
Let me show you the way home
Let there be understanding
Together …  never alone!
