Selfless Deeds
Accolades and bouquets one can do without When they are but empty and spent One learns that strength lies solely within When ones’ heart and soul are truly present
Benevolence, amiability the pillars of support They should be a two way road to travel But frequently one finds a decrepit junction When you’re on tar; and the other's on gravel!
Stratagems employed with colourful flair Seeking predominance with subtle inflection Beneath the glaze the heart’s eclipsed Often the face is but a mirrored reflection
Ones’ destiny could be a mapped out course But current and future lives will be determined Not by what one gives or takes or thinks about These causes by God are not championed!
It’s the little things one so thoughtfully does The love and kindness and moral support Ones’ selfless deeds aiding those in need And courage and faith will never run short!
